I've seen several threads about including o-hand patches back to the EDS upstream. Did you get the agree from Novell guys or had to fork the EDS?

I would like to spend some time hacking your version of EDS (I'd love to see fast and lean EDS variant even on desktop machine, and set of tools for synchronization with Emacs planner-mode, Palm contacts, external sources etc, which are very simple to write using DBus interfaces), but uncertainity of it's future (especially uncertainity of the possibility to rebase current patchset to the new upstream version) makes me doubt.
